I would also possibly feel differently had the museum been open. Museum and ‘park’ hours are slated as close at dusk. It was still daylight when I arrived and the museum was closed.
This is a sacred place. It reverberates with powerful energy. Respect and honor only for this land.
What a beautiful place! There is an $8 parking fee and $4 for motorcycles. The museum was informative with a movie to watch. You can climb a small tower to look at the mound. Walk around it and explore a nature trail.

Cool to see but I couldn’t really justify the drive out (it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere) - though there do seem to be some hiking trails along the edges of the ‘serpent’ that I might consider returning for if I was in the area.
It is so beautiful out here. Adams County is rich in American history and it's set in such a gorgeous landscape. Serpent Mound is awash in meditative energy. The photo ops are plentiful and you'll be back soon!
